Introducing RamJam Racing’s Hobao VTE2 8mm Titanium Center Spool, featuring custom-hardened, ultra-strong 4041 tool steel cups. This spool is a significant upgrade over the stock spool and is designed to withstand the extreme conditions of speed running and drag racing.

Precision Engineering: Our 8mm titanium spool shaft is precision-ground, and the flats are machined to be perfectly parallel, eliminating gear wobble.
Durability: Paired with our custom ultra-strong 4041 tool steel cups, this spool is built to take a beating.
Compatibility: Suitable for use with a wide range of aftermarket spur gears. We include spacer combinations for stock Hobao spurs, Saga RC spurs, and many other options.
Easy Installation: The Hobao VTE2 8mm Titanium Center Spool is compatible with the factory Hobao motor mount. No modifications are required.
This kit includes:
Grade 5 titanium center spool shaft
Grade 5 titanium spur spacers for stock and saga spurs
Two 4041 Tool steel cups
Two Abec-7 hybrid ceramic bearings
Five 8mmx.2mm shims
Four O-rings
Installation Tips:
Degrease the parts thoroughly
Use Loctite #262 or #271 on the set screws
Use Loctite #262 or #271 on the cup / shaft joint
Wait 24 hours for proper bonding
Use O-rings in the drive cups to remove bone play
